Clayton focuses his practice on real estate, litigation, estate, and business matters. He has been practicing law in North Carolina for more than 20 years and has represented individuals and businesses in a multitude of settings.

Clayton spent much of his childhood working with his father at their service station where he learned the importance of hard work and dedication. “My favorite activity was listening to my father talk with whoever came in,” said Clayton. “They would often consider the weather or the crops. My ears perked up when they would debate the economy or politics or the latest local controversy. My dad would go on for hours. In those days, kids were seen but not heard. So, I learned to listen and listened to learn. These lessons  learned at my father’s side continue to light my path as a lawyer.”

Clayton is admitted in all Federal District Courts in North Carolina and has appeared in many North Carolina counties. He is a member of the North Carolina and Greensboro Bar Associations and is editor of the Greensboro Bar Newsletter.

Clayton received his Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he was a member of the National Mock Trial team. Prior to law school, Clayton received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Michigan State University and his Master of Music degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Clayton enjoys spending time with his wife and children, exploring music, and reading.
